Privacy

The short version: our games collect anonymous gameplay data to help us balance and improve them. That is the whole story. Here is the long version anyway.

What we collect

Our games record anonymous gameplay events: things like which cards were offered and picked, which fights were won or lost and at what health, what was bought in shops, and how runs ended. Each install generates one random identifier so we can tell runs from the same copy of the game apart. That identifier is random. It is not your name, email, Steam account, hardware ID, or anything else about you, and we cannot connect it to you.

If the game crashes or hits an error, it also sends a crash report: the technical trace of what went wrong, the game version, your operating system type, and the game's own log from that session. Crash reports exist so we can fix the crash. They contain no personal information.

If you use the in-game feedback form, we also receive the category you pick and the text you type. The form is anonymous too; please do not put personal information in it.

What we do with it

We use this data for exactly two things: balancing the game and fixing what breaks. Which cards are never picked, where players get stuck, which fights are too hard, which errors actually happen on real machines. That is it.

We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. It goes to a server we run and nowhere else.

What we do not collect

No names, no email addresses, no accounts, no payment information, no contacts, no tracking across other apps or websites, no advertising identifiers. The game does not read anything on your machine that is not the game.

Turning it off

In the game: Settings, then turn off "Share anonymous gameplay data". One switch covers everything, crash reports included. Done. The game works exactly the same with it off, and the setting is remembered.

Retention

We keep gameplay data for as long as it is useful for balancing, and we periodically delete old data that no longer is. Because the data is anonymous, we have no way to look up or delete the data belonging to a specific person; turning the setting off stops anything new from being sent.
